HABANOS MOMENTS 2012 

 

 

Second official Habanos Moments took place from May 10th to May 13th 2012. under the name of "Regions". The event had begun on the beautiful Thursday night,the guests were taken by the old traditional batana rawing boats from the port of old city of Rovinj to the dinner place in the Museum of batana boats for the traditional and relaxed fisherman night.

The day after, Gala dinner took place in Hotel Kempinski in the city of Savudrija dedicated to Habanos regional edition cigars. Distributor themselves presented regional editions from seven regions, Hunter & Frankau of UK, Habanos Nordic AB of Sweden, Top Cigars of Russia, Pacific Cigar of Asia and Pacific, Altadis of Spain, Cingari of India and Camelot of Croatia/Slovenia.

Kempinsky chef Mr. Serafin Koutni matched the food with mentioned cigars and Istrian wines from that microlocation, Degrassi, Coronica and Kozlović. Sunny saturday morning was dedicated to Istrian Cigar breakfast in Villa Polesini in old city of Poreč followed by visit to Vinistra fair.

Monte Mulini Wine vault and cheer Mr. Tom Gretić hosted Saturday night gala cocktail matching Trinidad cigars with wines of Istrian winemaker and cigar aficionados Mr. Giorgio Clai, Mr. Mladen Roxanich and Mr. Bruno Trapan.

Sunday was reserved for traditional "Show must go on" event where the best Istrian biska ( traditional istrian brandy made from mistletoe plant and malvasia grapes ) matched

power of Cohiba Behike 54 cigar together with šibiba olive oils served in small chocolate cups, made by Mrs. Biserka Bankovic.

The event was followed by closing of the Vinistra fair.
